FAQ

WILL MY content/ideas/data STAY SAFE AND PRIVATE?

Absolutely.

I follow the Editorial Freelancer’s Association Code of Fair Practice which defines ethical standards and guidelines for editorial freelancers and their clients. Our work together will always remain confidential. (I may ask your permission to include the finished result in my portfolio; you're entirely free to decline.)

HOW LONG BEFORE I GET MY NEW CONTENT/EDITED MANUSCRIPT BACK?

That depends on what it is.

Here's how the process goes:

Contact me with a brief description of what you need (including your goals, budget, and timeline.) We'll set up a time to discuss your project, at which point you'll tell me more and I'll answer any questions you have.

Next, I'll prepare a time and cost estimate for you. Some articles and blog posts may be quick; others (technical pieces and those requiring research and/or interviews) take longer. I'll never exceed the estimate without your written permission.

Once you've approved the estimate, you'll receive a contract outlining our agreement. I'll ask for a 50% deposit via PayPal or personal check.

Your finished content will arrive in a Word file unless otherwise requested. Edits are marked using the Track Changes feature.

HOW DO I KNOW I'LL LIKE THE CHANGES YOU MAKE TO MY WRITING?

If you'd like to get a sense of my style before you commit, just let me know. I'll be happy to edit a brief section for free.

WHY DO I NEED A PROFESSIONAL WRITER OR EDITOR?

Because you want your words to do justice to your ideas.

Because you're committed to building trust and developing authentic connection.

To achieve that, you need to make sure that all of your communications are working together, saying precisely what you want to say, and "speaking" in your authentic voice.

I can help.
